March 25, 2016 (Cleveland, OH) – ideastream, Advance Ohio, Cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer present the next installment of Cleveland Connects: The First 2,000 Days, sponsored by PNC, on Monday, April 4, from 6–7:30 p.m. The Cleveland Connects: The First 2,000 Days initiative is a year-long exploration of critical issues in early childhood development, as well as ways to improve the lives of children in Cleveland.
Open to the public, this community conversation features a keynote presentation by Eboni Howard, Ph.D., an early childhood specialist and managing researcher at the American Institutes for Research. Joining her will be a panel of Northeast Ohio teachers and early childhood education experts. Moderated by Mike McIntyre, host of The Sound of Ideas® on 90.3 WCPN ideastream, the panel will explore the importance of early brain development and approaches, such as quality Pre-K programs, that can impact a child in those critical first five years.
Open to the public, the community can participate by registering at tinyurl.com/first2000. In addition, Cleveland Connects: The First 2,000 Days will be live-streamed at ideastream.org/clevelandconnects.
