Creativity abounds online as Northeast Ohio artists and arts institutions continue to pivot toward online concerts, classes and competitions.  Here are five virtual offerings for you to choose from this week.

Piano Cleveland

After postponing this year's Cleveland International Piano Competition until 2021, Piano Cleveland hosts the "Virtu(al)oso" global online piano competition July 30 through August 9. Performances by the 30 contestants from 18 countries screen nightly at 7 p.m. on Piano Cleveland's website.

Virtual Shows CLE

Cleveland hip-hop trio Muamin Collective presents a virtual performance live from the Grog Shop in Cleveland Heights in front of a small, socially-distanced audience. The concert is presented in partnership with Virtual Shows CLE and streams live on its Facebook page Friday, July 31, at 8 p.m.

Verb Ballets

"Classical Variations" is a live stream of classical dance by Verb Ballets, the first in its new virtual ACCESS/Verb series. "Raymonda's Wedding" and Heinz Poll's "Rococo Variations" are on the program happening Friday, July 31, at 7 p.m.

The Nightlight Cinema

Akron's independent movie theater has transitioned to online screenings during the pandemic. This Friday two documentaries - "Helmut Newton: The Bad and the Beautiful" and "The Fight" - debut in the Nightlight's Virtual Screening Room.

Great Lakes Theater

Great Lakes Theater's education department presents its virtual summer education program " Camp Theater!" Daily online programs and resource guides are targeted for students either K-3 or 4-8 grades.
