Managing asthma is tricky for anyone, but it’s especially tough for people living in underserved communities who may not have resources to help them. And sometimes a person’s genetics can provide a double whammy when it comes to asthma risk. Be Well producer Kay Colby looked into one local community that’s particularly hard hit: Latinos of Puerto Rican descent. She sat down with ideastream’s Anne Glausser to discuss barriers members of Northeast Ohio’s Puerto Rican community face when it comes to navigating treatment for asthma.
