Pianist Yaron Kohlberg, President of Piano Cleveland, himself a last Laureate of the competition, talks about the Upcoming Cleveland International Piano Competition. The Competition, delayed for a year by the COVID pandemic, will get underway virtually with streamed first round performances. Eight finalists will come to Cleveland to perform solo rounds, chamber music rounds , two-piano rounds with other contestants, and ultimately, concerto rounds at Severance Hall with the Cleveland Orchestra.
