November 12, 2015 (Cleveland, OH) – At the annual meeting on Nov. 3, 2015, the Board of Trustees of WVIZ/PBS, 90.3 WCPN and WCLV 104.9 ideastream elected the following new Trustees: for a one-year term – Joann Glick, RN and Community Volunteer; for a two-year term – Craig Brooks, Partner, Ernst & Young; Kevin Condon, Senior VP and Chief Counsel, Electrical Sector, Eaton Corporation; Jason Rudman, Senior VP, Consumer Payments & Digital Banking, KeyBank; and Melvin G. Pye, Jr., President & CEO, Fairfax Place Inc.; and for a three-year term – Phylis Ferrara, President and Chief Development Officer, Summa Foundation; and David Legeay, Senior VP and Market Director of Investments, Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth.
Incumbent Trustees elected for an additional three-year term ending in 2018 include Natalie Epstein, Community Leader; Alex Johnson, President, Cuyahoga Community College; Jean Kalberer, Community Leader; Sandra Kiely Kolb, Community Leader; Bruce Loessin, Senior VP for University Relations/Development, CWRU; Jim Simon, Partner, Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLC; and Fred Stueber, Senior VP, General Counsel and Secretary, Lincoln Electric.
Chair Kevin M. McMullen, Chairman, CEO and President, OMNOVA Solutions, Inc.; Immediate Past Chair Larry Pollock, Managing Partner, Lucky Stars partners, Inc.; Treasurer Daniel P. Walsh, Jr., CEO, Citymark Capital LLC; and Secretary Julie Adler Raskind, Community Leader, will continue in their leadership capacity.
Trustees leaving the ideastream Board due to term limits were saluted for their service to the organization and invited to continue their involvement with ideastream by serving as a member of the Chair’s Council. They are: Kristen Baird Adams, Tom Gross, Susan Hall, William Hartmann, Josh Jenkins, Terry Kovel, Marcia Levine, Edwina Moss, Jon Outcalt, Cathy Pollard, Barbara Rosenthal, Norman Wain and Cynthia Walker.
In addition to the election of new board members, ideastream announced the public phase of its $20.3 million ideastream Campaign for Community, with $14.3 million pledged from individuals, corporations and foundations. The ideastream Campaign for Community asks for a community investment of $20.3 million to build capacity and provide a funding bridge to sustain an increased level of service far into the future.
