We're just weeks away from the Nov. 8 general election, and for many who plan to vote early in person or absentee, the time has already come. Early voting officially began yesterday for all registered voters. And it's a big election for Ohio voters, with several statewide races on the ballot, including Governor, Ohio Supreme Court, U.S. Senate, plus two constitutional amendments. Many local races are on ballots as well, including in Cuyahoga County, the race for county executive.

A lot of important dates and details go into voting in this year's election. If you do plan to vote by mail, what's the deadline for requesting your absentee ballot? When do you have to have it in the mail by for it to be counted by election day? When do they count all those absentee votes anyways? And, how do you find out what's even on your ballot?

We wanted to spend some time today at the beginning of the show to answer some of the questions we thought of regarding voting, and more importantly answer YOUR questions that you might have about voting in the midterms this year.

Joining us today is Jen Miller, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Ohio.

Ideastream Public Media recently posted a voter guide for the midterm elections, that answers a lot of voter questions.

Later this hour, we'll feature reporting about  Cleveland's increasing trend of housing properties owned and managed by absent corporations, and the tenants facing maintenance problems in their wake.

And, it's another episode of our music podcast Shuffle.
