Will Pat Benatar, Eminem, or other 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees be inducted this year?

Eminem, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran, Lionel Richie, and Rage Against the Machine make up some of this year's nominees list for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which was announced Wednesday. 

Just to complete the list, the others nominated were Beck, Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, DEVO, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Fela Kuti, MC5, New York Dolls, Carly Simon, A Tribe Called Quest and Dionne Warwick.

To reiterate, these 17 artists are not all being inducted, but this is the pool that the Rock Hall will select from, when they announce their official inductees in May.

This hour on the "Sound of Ideas," we'll spend some time digging into the list of nominees and talk about their cultural impact. We'll learn who's on the list for the first time, for instance, this is Eminem's first year of eligibility, and, we'll ask why some fan favorites were left out.  

Later, we'll turn from rock and roll to everyone's favorite topic: taxes. There are some really important things you'll want to know about filing your return this year, including what to expect if you received the expanded child tax credit.
