When was the last time you spoke to someone you disagreed with? When America is at one of its most divided times in history – ideastream and StoryCorps have partnered up this year for the project One Small Step, which asked Ohioans to have a conversation with someone on the opposite side of the political spectrum – to try to come together to find common ground. But these conversations are happening all across the country. Today, we're presenting this NPR and StoryCorps hour-long special hosted by Elise Hu called One Small Step – Courageous Conversations Across a Growing Divide.
We'll hear conversations with StoryCorps founder Dave Isay, expert guests, and the highlights of a live stage presentation in Birmingham, Alabama, one of first cities to undertake the One Small Step project.
