Since 2011, Ohio law enforcement agencies have sent nearly 14 thousand older rape kits for testing. But there’s no requirement for them to follow up on the results. On The Sound of Ideas, Rachel Dissell with The Plain Dealer will discuss efforts to find out what happened with these kits across the state, and why she’s recruiting volunteers to help. Plus, advanced-energy research is at risk of losing federal funding, we’ll discuss how it could impact Northeast Ohio innovation efforts.
