Boomers Downsizing & Organizing Based on Personlity

Sorry, but no one wants your china cabinet, let alone the dishes that are inside it. Older boomers had a knack for acquiring possessions to fill their homes to the brim. As they are reaching the age of retirement and looking to downsize into smaller quarters or even retirement communities, the task of sifting through their belongings has become its own industry. Their kids don’t want what used to be considered heirlooms and even charities are becoming overcrowded with items they can’t sell. Millennials in particular aren’t interested in lugging around heavy furniture as they navigate career changes and don’t own houses in the first place. We’ll be talking with two senior move managers about how to take on the mammoth task of downsizing.

So maybe you’re not ready to move into a tiny house… we’ll also be talking with a local organizer and author about nontraditional ways to tidy up and slim down on the items you do have.Can you really organize based on your personality type? We'll find out.
