A Cleveland police officer died this week after a driver struck him while he worked to put down flares near the scene of a traffic crash.  Investigators say the driver was speeding and driving recklessly. It's the second time in just a matter of months that a law enforcement officer has been fatally hit on the same  stretch of I-90.   We'll discuss the perils police and other first responders face when they attempt to protect public safety on busy local highways.   Then, the Ohio Auditor has come up with a system to let taxpayers know when their cities and counties are heading for what he calls a "financial cliff".  Plus, a funding delay could impact thousands of children who rely on before and after-school programs.
