Underground Railroad in NE Ohio; Station Hope

In the years leading up to the Civil War, a small stone church on Cleveland's West Side became a beacon of hope for escaped slaves making their way to Canada and freedom. In fact, the entire Ohio City neighborhood around St. John's Episcopal Church aided moving these escapees along the Underground Railroad. We'll explore the church's history and preview the Station Hope event - a celebration of the struggle for freedom - taking place this weekend.
