Anyone who grew up on tinker toys or erector sets knows the pleasure of making things. Now, millions of American are rediscovering that feeling, and turning a profit. The maker movement, a coalition of entrepreneurs, inventors, and crafty types who make things from gadgets to clothes to food, are shaking up the economy.
