Republican U.S. Senator Rob Portman and Democratic former Governor Ted Strickland face off in three debates over the next six days... we'll hear from their conversation this week with the editorial boards of two Cleveland news outlets, including Portman stepping back from his support of Donald Trump. It's the first day of the ALCS -- and of import to many people who attend baseball games is the city's sudden crackdown on the myriad saxophone, trumpet, and guitar players who prowl the streets following ball games offering sidewalk entertainment and rarely asking for cash. We'll have some details as to why that legislation is on the table.

And what's the deal with incumbent candidates refusing to debate challengers? There is a growing demand that they accept the offers, even as all of the members of congress who represent Cuyahoga County and beyond... hold their ground.
