Tri-C Access Centers And The Role of Community College; The Impact Of After-School Programs

Community College plays an important role in preparing students for further education or to fill needs in the current workforce. But barriers such as a lack of transportation can make it difficult for some to attend. Localy, Cuyahoga Community College is taking its programs directly to impoverished Cleveland neighborhoods. Tri-C President, Dr. Alex Johnson, joins me for discussion.  We'll ask Dr. Johnson about the new Tri-C Access Centers, the role of community college in workforce development, and the Tri-C levy before voters next month.  Later, a look at what can help younger students succeed: Robust after-school programs. Our guests say they're crucial, and there aren't enough of them.
