The Impact of "Black Panther"; Medicine in Balto's Time

Credit: Wikimedia Commons

The Marvel Superhero movie "Black Panther" is a huge box office hit, disproving the long-held Hollywood belief that a film rooted in black culture with a black director and a majority black cast can't draw a wide audience. On The Sound of Ideas, we'll talk about the film and its impact on the industry. Will diversity and inclusion stay in the Holywood script? And we'll look at its broader impact on our culture. Then, we'll learn about the medicine and ailments available during Balto's time, as part of the "Think and Drink with the Extinct" event at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.
