The annual American Lung Association report card on air quality is out and our region continues to be one of the most polluted in the country. We're in the middle of the pack for ozone pollution, but we rank 11th for particle pollution, breathable microscopic bits of soot, smoke and liquid -- mostly the byprodcut of burning fossil fuels. Despite progress, the air is still dirty.
