Featured Audio

Sure they're annoying, but science knows the common fruit fly is a lot more than just a pest. Fruit flies are crucial to our understanding of the human immune system. Scientific researchers worldwide use them and other model organisms to learn about genetics, metabolism, physiology, and behavior. On the next Sound of Ideas, a Science café discussion with local researchers on how fruit flies are telling us so much about ourselves. Monday at 9 on 90.3.
