"Rust Belt": Does the Phrase Still Reflect Our Region?

This place we call home is known as Northeast Ohio, Greater Cleveland, the Great Lakes Region, the Midwest and, commonly, the Rust Belt. But is that last term outdated and negative? Do you think it's a nod to a proud history and resiliance, or is it an insult used to minimize and limit Cleveland and other former industrial giants like Detroit and Pittsburgh?
