We continue our exploration of the Ideastream in-depth reporting series, focused on the residents of Cleveland's Woodhill Homes.

Reporter/Producer, Justin Glanville again takes us "Inside the Bricks", introducing us to residents and sharing their experiences living at Woodhill.

In this edition of "Inside the Bricks", Justin tackles a persistent stereotype as he explores the topics of health and safety.  The topics are ones all of us have been facing in new ways in 2020 as the pandemic continues and we face the challenge of keeping ourselves healthy.  The pandemic has also forced many to re-examine their behaviors to keep themselves from contracting the virus and to prevent spreading it to others.

It is a timely topic. Ohio’s healthcare personnel say the wave of patients they are seeing shows little sign of receding. Ohio hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have now passed 5,000 and ICU units are filling up.  Some hospitals are borrowing ventilators and other equipment to meet patient demand.  But the one element that remains in short-supply and high-demand are the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers caring for patients.

You will hear one woman's story about her effort to initiate a health kick in her Woodhill neighborhood.  Justin takes us grocery shopping with a resident, and discovers what for him is a new fruit.  We will also hear of an activist and storyteller in the community who hoped to use the power of language, to help uplift his neighbors.
