More than 200-thousand Americans have traveled abroad to help solve problems in developing countries as part of the Peace Corps, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. On the next Sound of Ideas, we'll bring you an encore presentation of our program from March featuring several Northeast Ohioans who served as Peace Corps volunteers, including the former national director. They aimed to help others and to further the concept of world peace, but the experience shaped their own lives, too. Angela Lowery, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), Costa Rica
Annabel Khouri, Field Based Recruiter, Northeast Ohio U.S. Peace Corps
Kevin O’Donnell, Peace Corps national director, 1971-72
