Ohio COVID Cases Break More Records; Discussion With Cuyahoga Co. Health Commissioner Terry Allan

Yesterday was another record-setting day in Ohio, but not in a good way. Once again, the state notched another high in the number of daily COVID-19 cases. Eight of the top ten record breaking days have come in the month of October.

Cuyahoga County re-entered the red zone earlier this week, joined by Geauga, and Lake counties, as well as others, for a total of 38 Ohio counties on red alert now. That's nearly half the state.

Cuyahoga County Health Commissioner Terry Allan will join us this week for the Reporter's Roundtable as we address the rising cases.

As we shift towards election news, early voting numbers are up, with record-setting numbers of ballots mailed in, and long lines at polling places across the state for early voting and to drop off absentee ballots. Over a million votes have been cast already in the state of Ohio.

The final presidential debate took place this week, we'll talk about that and if it perhaps moved the needle at all with only a little over a week left before the election.

With us for the Roundtable this week is ideastream Health Reporter Lisa Ryan, and Statehouse News Bureau Chief Karen Kasler.

- Lisa Ryan, Health Reporter & Producer, ideastream

- Karen Kasler, Bureau Chief, Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau

- Terry Allan, Cuyahoga County Health Commissioner
