Wild Card

The Cleveland Guardians were locked in a tie for most of the day until a booming 8th inning gave the team a 6-1 lead. A rocky 9th inning didn't result in any Detroit runs for a 6-1 final.

The Cleveland Guardians lost Game 1 of their American League Wild Card series against the Detroit Tigers, 2-1. All three of the series' potential games are in Cleveland.

The Indians are on the brink of elimination after game one of their wild card series against New York. Game two is Wednesday night at 7pm at Progressive Field.
