
Tamar Charney
Tamar Charney is an editorial strategist specializing in how the public media network can work together to provide journalism on the platforms where people listen, read, and watch. She's currently a Consulting Senior Supervising Producer for NPR's Throughline and works with a variety of stations and organizations as a trainer and consultant.
At NPR, Charney led the editorial strategy for emerging platforms such as apps and smart speakers including NPR's state of the art personalized listening app NPR One. Tamar was an executive creator of NPR's Coronavirus Daily, co-led the localization of Consider This, and managed NPR's collaborative journalism work. Prior to joining NPR in 2016, Tamar was the Program Director at Michigan Radio.
