Amoaba Gooden, Ph.D. leads Kent State's efforts to increase diverse representation, create and sustain equity of opportunity and intentionally foster an inclusive environment.

Amoaba Gooden, Ph.D. is the Interim Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Kent State University. Gooden spoke with Elevation's Amy Reynolds on the many initiatives the division currently leads and its efforts to address equity and inclusion on-campus.

Gooden also serves as the chair and is an associate professor in the university’s Department of Pan-African Studies.
