Cleveland Joins National HIV Testing Day

Five city recreation centers will be converted to testing stations Friday (6/25), free of charge for anyone who wants to take advantage of the offer to be tested, and to find out almost immediately about test results.

David Merriman is with Cleveland's Department of Health in the Office of HIV Services. ideastream®s Rick Jackson spoke with him about the program - and the need for testing, beginning with exactly what Rapid HIV testing is.

Testing is available at these locations from noon to 6 p.m:
•Zelma George Recreation Center, 3155 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Cleveland 216-420-8800.
•Fairfax Recreation Center, 2335 East 82nd Street, Cleveland 216-664-4142.
