New Guidelines for Asthma Treatment

It's the very beginning of fall -- the time of year that doctors tend to notice a spike in the number of patients suffering from asthma. About half a million people with asthma are admitted to the hospital every year in this country. Now for the first time in a decade, the Heart, Lung and Blood Institute is out with new federal guidelines outlining how asthma should be treated. Dr. Charles Emerman is with us.
