The budget Icelandic airline WOW Air says it's ending flights to Cleveland after October 26.
The company said in a statement that the route to Cleveland, along with flights to St. Louis and Cincinnati, did not meet profit targets.
Officials at Cleveland Hopkins, which offered to help Wow Air with the cost of marketing and waive landing fees for the first two years, said in a statement the number of passengers using Wow Air met the company's targets.
Final flights to Cleveland and Cincinnati will be at the end of the month, while the company will continue flying to St. Louis until January.
In September Wow Air announced a winterlong hiatus, but had planned to return in March.
IcelandAir also began flights to Cleveland in May. The company initially planned for year-round service but announced a winter hiatus in September.
