Olivier Brault is a French-Canadian violinist who will an important member of the orchestra when Apollo’s Fire presents “Mozart and the Chevalier”—the final concert of their 30 th Anniversary season—May 6-8. When he and WCLV's Bill O'Connell chatted, he was asked about the first program he played with Jeannette Sorrell’s ensemble, and his answer included a story about a mock sword fight that opened one of his recitals in Montreal! Olivier will be playing with Apollo’s Fire's in their final concert of a landmark season. The program is called “Mozart and the Chevalier,” music by Mozart and the Chevalier de Saint-Georges in three concerts May 6-8, in Akron, at Mandel Concert Hall in the Severance Music Center, and in Bay Village. WCLV will broadcast live the Severance concert on Saturday May 7 th, but don’t let that stop you from attending one of these concerts.
