This Sunday, October 31st, the Cleveland Institute of Music’s New Music Ensemble presents a concert at 4 pm in Mixon Hall, featuring two works by CIM alumnus Jerod Impichch aachaaha’ Tate, a citizen of the Chickasaw nation, and a recently-named cultural ambassador for the US State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The ensemble will present “Talowa’ Hiloha (Thunder Song)” and a very recent work titled “MoonStrike,” with the composer narrating. WCLV's Mark Satola caught up with Jerod for a lively and wide-ranging conversation.
