The beloved restaurant and music club Nighttown in Cleveland Heights will return in 2022, according to new owner Gregg Levy.
The managing partner of Red the Steakhouse, Levy said the identity and favorite menu items of Nighttown will remain.
"It's going to be the Dublin Lawyer that you've come to know, expect and love. It's going to be the great bar with the wide variety of draft beer. It is going to be Nighttown," Levy said.
Levy also said he's in discussions with Nighttown's longtime music promoter, Jim Wadsworth, to bring jazz back to the Cedar Hill venue.
"It's not Nightown without music," he said.
Levy and his team have been working on the sale for several months meeting with former owner Brendan Ring, who closed the restaurant last year.
"The more we looked at it, the more we delved deeper into it, the more we fell in love with what was there and what the potential is," he said.
While Levy plans to keep the identity of Nighttown, he is looking to overhaul its kitchen.
"We are tearing out every single piece of kitchen equipment there and starting over. We're tearing out the coolers and the freezers and building a new structure there," he said.
And for those looking for somewhere to eat on Sundays, Levy said Nighttown plans to cover that too.
"We are looking forward to bringing brunch back to the Heights area. You know, since our good friends, Doug Katz and Fire [Food and Drink] went out, I think the Heights has really missed their fun brunch. And we plan on doing an incredible brunch there," he said.
