Virtual productions are becoming more polished and less haphazard these days as demonstrated by the online options this week from Northeast Ohioans. Here are five artistic offerings to enjoy from home this week.
Cleveland Public Theatre
After making its world premiere at Cleveland Public Theatre in 2018, " American Dreams" is now virtual through November 15. The play is a satire of a game show where the winner receives United States citizenship. The online production stars the same CPT cast, including Clevelanders Andrew Valdez and India Nicole Burton.
Rock Hall
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum welcomes reggae master Ziggy Marley for a virtual concert Thursday, October 8, at 7 p.m. Marley will spotlight music from his new album, "More Family Time," on the Rock Hall's Facebookand YouTubepages.
Cellocentric
The trio of Doug Wood on guitar, Arleigh Savage on bassoon and Carolina Borja on cello, is now performing online via its YouTube channel. With the weather cooling off, Cellocentric will share a new weekly music video for its "Cafe Mondays" series.
Cleveland Play House
The cast of the Cleveland Play House comedy hit from last season, "Clue," reunite Saturday, October 10, at 7:30 p.m. For one night only, the stars perform their favorite showtunes from Broadway musicals in what's being billed as " CLUEbaret"
DANCECleveland
In lieu of in-person dance performances, DANCECleveland presents a virtual, fall dance series, " Fall for DANCECleveland." The first online dance concert features Ballet Hispanico with "Carmen," beginning October 10.
