President Obama acted quickly after the Connecticut school shootings in December, drawing up plans for tighter gun control. His point man, Vice President Joe Biden, says public revulsion after the shooting compels government action. Does it? Will the executive orders Obama signed and the restrictions he proposes make Americans safer? Legislative hearings begin next week.
