Small businesses are supposed to lead the way out of the recession, but it's not easy without ready access to cash. Are banks being too stingy in the aftermath of the financial crisis? Or, are they just being prudent? We'll sort out the small business credit crunch and what it means to Northeast Ohio. Monday at 9 on 90.3.

I am working with a number of neighborhood micro-businesses in the Glenville neighborhood. It is almost impossible for one of the businesses we work with to get a loan. WECO is the only institution that is willing to try to help but they can’t help everyone. As a result we are looking at other alternatives including creating our own web based micro-financing program. Like one of the previous callers, we are going on our own too.
