Detainment of Hotel Guests Raises Issue of Cultural Awareness

A incident last week in Avon where a Muslim man was detained at a hotel at gunpoint raises concerns about how people respond to what they perceive to be potential threats and how police respond when someone gripped by what appears to be irrational fear calls for help. The visitor, from the United Arab Emirates, came here for treatment at the Cleveland Clinic after a stroke.
