U.S. Supreme Court: Facebook Threats Protected Under the First Amendment?

The U.S. Supreme Court started a new session this week, and among the cases they'll decide on is what people can and cannot post on social media. The case centers around a man who was convicted of making threats against his former wife and an FBI agent on Facebook. His posts were pretty violent, but his lawyers say the man was just exaggerating and mimicking rap songs.

The justices will have to decide what can be written on websites like Facebook and twitter that would still be protected by the right to free speech under the first amendment.
