Connect with NewsDepth
1. Sign up for the NewsDepth e-newsletter!
Each week the NewsDepth team sends out an e-newsletter that gives a sneak peek at the upcoming episode and its related classroom resources. We’ll remind you about upcoming breaks and fill you in on behind-the-scenes changes to the show. Plus, we'll let you know how you can influence changes to the program.
By signing up for the newsletter, you will also be added to our classroom map and be mailed a yearly NewsCat poster! The map helps NewsDepth understand our viewership and let's us show the program’s widespread use to funders.
It's as easy as filling out this form!
2. Submit your student for our A+ segment.
We love highlighting the great work of students and classes. Nominations, including photos and/or videos of the nominee, can be sent to NewsDepth@ideastream.org.
3. Tour the Idea Center.
Are you close to the Cleveland area? Feel free to call or email Amiee Collier (216-916-6424) to discuss a possible class tour of the studio and building where NewsDepth and other Ideastream Public Media programs are produced. Your class will learn all about careers in media and how the show is produced. Tours are limited to 30 students per visit and last between 1 to 2 hours. The NewsDepth team is only able to accommodate two tours per month - so get your requests in as soon as you can!
4. Request an in-person or virtual visit from the NewsDepth team.
We love getting to meet our viewers! Members of the NewsDepth team will meet with your students, give a presentation on how the show is produced, discuss careers in media and answer your students' questions. To request a visit from the NewsDepth team call or email Amiee Collier (216-916-6424). Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate a handful of in-person school visits per season, but we can squeeze in plenty of 20 minute Zoom sessions.
