MetroHealth Opens Food Clinic Pilot Program

When some MetroHealth System patients visit their doctor, they might leave with fresh produce. Its part of "Food as Medicine," a pilot program on the hospital's main campus which aims to help decrease food insecurity and encourage healthier eating habits. Those enrolled in the program will also receive nutritional counseling and education. To learn more about the program and what it means for Cuyahoga County, ideastream's Rick Jackson spoke with nutritionist Jennifer Bier, and Dr. James Misak, both of MetroHealth.
