Your Answers: How can you protect your local environment?

Last episode we learned about wildfire prevention, poaching, and solar panels. Then we asked:  How can you  protect your local environment?

"I can help my local environment by picking up a lot of trash to help the pollution problem in our city. Also, I can help the recycling problem by making sure people put stuff in the right bin. That's how I can help my local environment."

— Isabella from Preston Elementary in Cuyahoga Falls

"One way I can protect my local environment is to not litter. First, Littering can make the roads, sidewalk, grass, and parks filled with trash and really gross. Secondly, if animals like deers eat our trash they could get really sick. They may even die! Lastly, If you litter it could go into the ocean and kill lots of sea life."

— Emery from Maryland Elementary in Bexley

"Dear NewsDepth, I could help the local environment by recycling. I could also help the environment by reusing materials instead of throwing them in the trash."

— Alex from Richardson Elementary in Cuyahoga Falls

"I can protect my local environment by going around and picking up trash. I can also help people memorize which one is a recycle bin and which one is the trash bin."

— Lexi from Lee Eaton Elementary in Northfield

"To protect my local environment, you could pick up litter you see in parks, sidewalks, etc. You can do this with family or friends on weekends, or when you have free time!"

— Lauren from Elmhurst Elementary in Toledo

"How I would protect my environment is by picking up the trash around the ocean and any other places because turtles and other animals get hurt by plastic, glass, paper, and other stuff like that."

— October from Jefferson Elementary in Jefferson
