Petting Zoo: Chicken Sales Soar During Pandemic

Chicken's have been flying off the shelves during the pandemic! Not only are they easy to care for as pets, but they are also great providers. Hens are able to lay an egg almost once a day. Of course, they sometimes take a day off, but still, that is a lot of eggs!

Their eggs can vary in color. You are probably used to seeing white and brown eggs at the grocery store, but there are also chicken eggs that are blue and green! The color depends on the chicken breed, but they are all equally nutritious according to The Ohio State University Extension.
