A Capuchin monkey was recently found in Owenton, Ky. That’s quite far from its natural habitat in South and Central America!
In the wild, Capuchins like to eat fruit, insects, and other small animals. Plus, they are good at using tools and can jump up to nine feet, according to Rainforest Alliance.
Even though they can be trained to perform tricks and tasks, monkeys are not allowed to be kept as pets in several states – including Kentucky and Ohio. For now, this monkey will be staying at the Primate Rescue Center in Nicholasville, Ky.
