Your Answers: Describe 2020 to your future self!

For our long winter break, we asked:  Describe 2020 to your future self. What did you experience? What lessons did you learn?

"Well, 2020 has been very rough! We had to quarantine, and Covid changed everything! I wonder how this virus ever started. I experienced a lot of changes like doing online school, wearing masks, and having to be six feet apart. Finally, I learned that things will get better in 2021."

- Madelyn from Orchard Hill Intermediate in North Canton

"I think that I would describe 2020 is that it was probably the worst year for everyone. I experienced lots of stuff but mostly was wearing masks and staying inside and you could not go out in public or in big areas. That is what I think what 2020 is like."

- Molly from School of Innovation in Willoughby

"2020 is probably my least favorite year and I broke my arm in 2018. It is well boring because you can't hang out with your friends. I just want this pandemic to be over. The lesson I learned is that you might take things for granted for example you could take your friends for granted. I will never take things for granted ever again."

- Matthew from St. Frances De Sales in Akron

"If I could tell my future self anything it would be to remember all of the stories and memories because nothing like this will ever happen again for hundreds of years."

- Will from New Bremen Middle in New Bremen

"Some 2020 experiences have been that I really like to wrestle with my brother and I didn't know that before this because I wasn't spending enough time with him but now we get to play a lot and we watch a lot of family movies and eat together more and we just have a lot more fun with each other and I think we should be like this all the time so then we can have fun together and just love each other."

- Claire from Lake Cable Elementary in North Canton
