Last week, we asked if you've been going to any local parks, and if so, what precautions you see people taking. Here are some of your answers!
Alyssa, Midview West Elementary School in Grafton: I haven't sadly, but I consider my yard as a park since it has the same idea but after Covid-19 is over I probably will. I miss the public and going places without a mask. So no, I have not been going to local parks.
Ava, Munroe Elementary School in Tallmadge: Yes, I have gone to local parks and some precautions I have seen are: People staying 6 or more feet apart. I have seen people wearing masks. I have also seen people be cautions of where people are walking and avoiding them.
Andrew, Kensington Intermediate School in Rocky River:
I have been going to local parks and people are taking many precautions. People are wearing masks and the are keeping their distance from other people. And the people who own the park opened the pickle ball and tennis ball courts, but before you enter you have to sanitize the equipment and your hands and when you leave you have to do the same thing. That is how people are taking precautions.
Adam, Tallmadge Elementary School in Tallmadge: I have been to the Gorge and Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. At the Gorge we maintained our distance and tried not to go near anyone. We walked the trail and some areas were blocked off. If we saw anyone on the trail coming the other way we moved over to the side and let them pass. At Stan Hywet we kept our distance and made sure we gave people space and waited our turn 6 feet back if other people were in the garden we wanted to see. It was beautiful!
Reese, Claggett Middle School in Medina:
I haven't been going anywhere! Especially because my step-mother has a very weak immune system. This makes it hard to go places, so everywhere I go, I make sure I have a mask over my face. I have been staying home and making sure that all of my family is safe and healthy.
