GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY YOU LIVE IN CAN BE A REWARDING EXPERIENCE. I HEARD THAT STUDENTS AT MARGARETTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ARE FINDING A WAY TO DO JUST THAT. AND IT’S WITH SOME OF THESE [SOCKS].
THIS WEEK’S A PLUS IS GOING OUT TO THE STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS TAKING PLACE IN SOCKTOBER, WHICH MRS. GRAY WROTE TO US ABOUT.
SHE SAID: “SOCKTOBER IS A MONTH LONG SOCK DRIVE. SOCKS COLLECTED ARE DONATED TO LOCAL HOMELESS SHELTERS. WE HAVE BEEN COLLECTING FOR 8 DAYS AND ALREADY HAVE 697 PAIRS OF SOCKS! IT IS SO WONDERFUL TO SEE THE STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY COMING TOGETHER TO HELP OTHERS. THIS OPPORTUNITY HAS BEEN UPLIFTING TO SEE ALL STUDENTS TAKING PART AND ASSISTING THOSE IN NEED. EVEN STUDENTS WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY SOCKS, ARE DOING THEIR PART MAKING POSTERS AND SHARING ON FACEBOOK.”
AWESOME JOB GUYS! WE’D LOVE TO HEAR MORE ABOUT WHAT YOUR CLASSROOM IS DOING THAT DESERVES AN A PLUS TOO. SOCK IT TO US!
