Our NewsDepth A+ goes to Tina Swearengin's 5 th grade class at Granby Elementary in Columbus, Ohio.
Check this out…their class just received stationary work desk bikes to use while they're reading, writing and even on computers! We received an email from three Granby students - Rachel, Evelyn W. and Evelyn A., telling us about the new addition to their classroom.
They say, “We are a very squirmy group of kids which made it difficult for us to stay focused and pay attention in class. We needed a way to exert our energy so we could stay more focused. Our teacher had read several articles that talked about the use of exercise bikes in the classroom to improve students' focus. She wrote a grant for "donor's choose", asking for help funding this type of project. We now have six awesome stationary bicycle work stations.”
