Ohio Headlines

Earlier this week in Maumee, a restaurant hosted a pretty famous visitor and no one there noticed!

Hillary Clinton was traveling through Lucas County, going to Iowa to begin her presidential campaign. She and her team stopped in a Chipotle restaurant for lunch, and Clinton went inside with an assistant to order. But the staff didn't recognize the former first lady. Later, a reporter called to see if Clinton really had eaten there, so the manager checked security tape - and there she was! I’m sure she'll be back in Ohio before the election and probably will be noticed… a little more.

Get your sunscreen and swimsuits ready, because this summer three northeast Ohio cities take the phrase 'fun in the sun' to a new level.

A company called Slide the City will tour the country with its 1,000 foot long water slide, and they're stopping in Cleveland, Akron and Youngstown! The slide extends more than three football fields in length and get this... portions of the proceeds from the rather expensive tickets go to local charities.

An athlete who faced some hard times will have the chance to be the first in his family to graduate from college. Various Wilson, a high school basketball player from Indianapolis, made headlines in December but not for his skills on the court.

Sports fans discovered he was facing obstacles including teenage homelessness after reading his story in the newspaper. Wilson was trying to balance taking care of his family, and working hard at basketball practice, so he could hopefully one day go to college on an athletic scholarship. Over the weekend, Wilson’s dream came true...Cincinnati State Technical & Community University offered him a scholarship after he visited the school on Saturday. Best of luck to him.
