Media & Propaganda: How do Russians View the United States?

Officials in North Korea might not even let you in, but officials in Russia wouldn't exactly greet you with open arms either - and it has nothing to do with any diseases.

Anti-Western sentiment in Russia is on the rise, and many say anti-American propaganda is to blame. Propaganda is information that is biased or misleading, as part of an effort to promote a particular political cause, or point of view.

Since Russia does not have press freedom, and most of the television stations and newspapers are owned by the government, it's easy to spread propaganda.
