Another fiscal showdown is over after an unusual weekend session on Capitol Hill.
The Senate voted in favor of a $1.1 trillion spending measure, removing the threat of a government shutdown for much of 2015.
Had this measure not been reached, funding for the government would have ended on Saturday.
This vote, which passed by a vote of 56 to 40, came about an hour after a temporary funding bill passed.
And one of the measures included in the new bill might just affect you. Provisions in the bill provide school food directors more flexibility for decisions involving cafeteria meals.
