The Cuyahoga Land Bank’s mission is to eliminate vacant and blighted properties by renovating them to stimulate the housing market in certain neighborhoods.
Now, the non-profit is in the business of building new homes, as it debut its first house in Ohio City.
A vacant, tax foreclosed home once stood at 2168 West 29th and The Land Bank tore it down and co-developed a 2-bedroom 2.5-bath single family home.
Since 2009, the non-profit has renovated 1,600 homes and demolished 6,000 properties in Cuyahoga County.
