Scott Simon, NPR Host and author of “Baby, We Were Meant for Each Other -- In Praise of Adoption”--NPR's Scott Simon's career as an award-winning journalist has taken him from Presidential campaigns to international war zones to Ground Zero in New York City. But, one of the most emotional stories he's ever followed was a much more personal one-- the adoption of two daughters from China. In a new memoir, Simon describes the tediousness and the joy that he and his wife experienced along the long road to bringing their new children home. The book is called "Baby, We Were Meant for Each Other --- In Praise of Adoption", published by Random House.

Dan Coughlin, veteran sports journalist and author of “Crazy, With the Papers to Prove It”--over the course of a 45-year career covering Cleveland sports, award-winning newspaper and TV journalist Dan Coughlin has earned a reputation as a master story teller. He's the guy you want to sit next to in a bar as he regales you with tales of 10-cent beer night riot at Cleveland Stadium…the scandalous trade of Rocky Colavito…and the Olympic champion who turned out to be a hermaphrodite. Coughlin has finally transcribed some of these stories in a new book published by Gray & Company, called "Crazy, With the Papers to Prove It".

The program originally aired November 26, 2010.
